It’s been a very exciting few weeks for Glad Rags and Cartridge Bags, with new events, a new venue and a nomination in the Scottish Rural Awards.
With better weather (hopefully) on its way, Mhairi Morris – Director of Glad Rags and Cartridge Bags and ArdMoor’s ladies shooting expert – has been busy planning the next season of events for members.
Ladies Spring Clay Shooting Events
Glad Rags and Cartridge Bags is renowned for bringing shooting to exclusive venues, and the club has just added Candacraig to its portfolio. Candacraig is flanked by the Cairngorms National Park and the club’s April event here was sold out in less than 36 hours! The following club event in May, will host Ian Hume, a member of Scotland’s clay shooting team who will be on hand to offer tips and advice for club members.
The plan for summer Glad Rags and Cartridge Bags events is also underway, with Kincardine Castle hosting in support of National Ladies Shooting Day. To book your place, express your interest or to find out more about Glad Rags and Cartridge Bags, please visit their website.
Scottish Rural Awards Nomination
The Scottish Rural Awards are being held at the end of March in Edinburgh. Glad Rags and Cartridge Bags have been recognised for their contribution to the rural sector and received a nomination for the Business Startup category.
Of the nomination, Mhairi explains,
“I am so excited that a small rural business like mine has been recognised. I am so passionate about the club and am thrilled about the way it is going. To date, 190 individual ladies have shot with us and 467 positions have been filled at the events so far. We are not only shooting clays but have progressed to simulated game days and driven days. But, the best bit about Glad Rags are the ladies who come; they are all wonderful and real friendships are being made. The number of corporate and private shoots are increasing which is also tremendous in this current economic climate.”
